About NØVENT
 
The NØVENT fireplace was the first South African designed, developed and manufactured non-vented gas fireplace released to the market in early 2004. The company, NØVENT Fireplaces, is a family owned business and was registered in 2003.Their products are marketed, sold and distributed throughout South Africa by Multibraai, the well known stainless steel Gas and charcoal braai manufacturing company.
NØVENT fireplaces has developed a variety of different standard models, based on the South African market requirements,since the release of their first fireplace which incorporated a realistic looking log gas rate. All these fireplaces comply with the stringent SABS non-vented gas room heater specifications and standards.
NØVENT pride them in the fact that they have the capability to manufacture custom made fireplaces to customer’s special requirements. They will build almost any special fireplace as long as the SABS specifications and standards are not transgressed as well as the guidelines set by LPGASA.
NØVENT, being a responsible manufacturer, ensures that their appliances hold no health and safety risks when in operation, notably if these fireplaces are installed and used correctly. For this reason every appliance is equipped with Oxygen Depletion Sensor (ODS ). This ODS has a multiple function and will not allow the fireplace to be started if the pilot light is not lit, the supply of gas to the system will be shut off if the pilot light is extinguished and if the oxygen in the room is not adequate then the gas supply will also be shut off automatically.
